Announcing: Meritorious Service Awards
This year, MPAQ is proud to announce that two of our long term members have been given the Meritorious Service Award. This award is reserved for people who have been outstanding in their contributions to the plumbing and gas industry.
Alf Jackson was awarded the Meritorious Service Award for his contribution to MPAQ and the plumbing industry. Alf’s contributions include:
- Joined MPAQ on 20 September 1995.
- Held office for MPAQ for the Bundaberg, Central Highlands and Gold Coast Division and was Treasurer and Secretary for the Bundaberg Division between 2001 – 2005
- Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer Bundaberg Division 2005 – 2007 and Treasurer Central Highlands 2001 – 2002. Alf moved from Central Queensland down to the Gold Coast.
- Chairman of the Gold Coast Division from 2009 – 2014
- Held a position on the MPAQ Council from 2001 to 2014
- Has attended many MPAQ conferences and events over the years along with the Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) Awards Presentation Dinners on the Gold Coast
- Been an active member of our Association for many years
Rob Roser was awarded Meritorious Service award for his contribution to not only MPAQ but the plumbing industry as a whole. Rob’s contributions include:
- Joined MPAQ on 10 November 1992
- Started Rosers Plumbing – which specialises in onsite treatment systems
- Held office for the Central Division for:
- Secretary 1993 – 1994
- Secretary 2005 – 2015
- Treasurer 2002 – 2004
- Assisted with the MPAQ golf Day in Rockhampton for the last 22 years, with encouraging sponsors and players to participate
- Attended many conferences and events over the years and has been an active member of the Association
