Fuel cells are Type B Gas Devices in Queensland. Section 731AA of the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004 (the Act) requires all gas devices be approved before installation or use. Until recently, the specified scope of existing authorities did not include fuel cell gas systems.
Currently, the Building and Construction industry is beset by labour shortages. As a result, contractors may face a situation where their subcontractors cannot obtain the necessary labour to maintain the program, and the contractor must step in.
